Why LVR?

Language is the tree that connects us. Its roots run deeper than most know.

From the ancient Phoenician cities of the Levant—including those along the coast of modern-day Lebanon—the alphabet traveled across the Mediterranean, carrying language, commerce, and ideas between people.

LVR takes its inspiration from that inheritance. Not as a claim on history, but as a way of reading it: three shapes that once meant leadership, anchoring, and reign, gathered into a single modern mark.

Read one way, LVR sounds like lover. Read another, it moves — connection in motion, never a word standing still.

The Colour & the Curve

Tyrian purple, drawn from the same coast.

Tyrian purple takes its name from the ancient Phoenician city of Tyre—Ṣūr (صور) in Arabic—a living coastal city in modern-day Lebanon.

Purple was once the rarest colour in the ancient world, reserved for those who reigned. It is our signature, and our reminder that rarity is made slowly.

Everything else follows the line of the water: rounded forms echoing Phoenician letterforms, movement held in a single curve, moonlight over a dark sea.
